Charles M. Robbins collection of Penn State boxing programs, photographs, and clippings, 1935-1950 (bulk 1936-1938).

The collection consists of six collegiate boxing programs, 1937-1950, between Syracuse University, the University of Virginia, and Penn State, and intercollegiate tournaments; one Penn State vs. Lehigh football program, 1941; NCAA instructions to boxers, referees, judges and coaches (circa 1936); Penn State vs. North Carolina boxing program, 22 Jan. 1938; Pennsylvania Rail Road menu for Penn State Varsity and Freshman Boxing Teams, 4 March 1938; photocopied newspaper clippings about the Penn State boxing team, 1937-1938; seven photographs of the 1936 and 1938 Penn State boxing team champions, equipment manager A.P. "Dean" Burrell, Burrell's office, and Penn State boxing and baseball coach Leo Houck when he was a prizefighter at age 22; and one photograph of the Penn State freshman baseball team, Spring 1935. Some photos have individual identifications written on them.
